Wanda brings a strong analytical and operational background that supports the commercialization of George Mason’s innovative technologies. She is an electrical engineer with extensive experience spanning defense systems, patent examination, and technology transfer. She began her career at the Naval Sea Systems Command, where she designed and executed initiation system tests for warhead systems. Building on her technical foundation, Wanda transitioned to intellectual property, serving as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There, she reviewed patent applications in the digital camera technologies. Most recently, she served as the Technology Transfer Federal Compliance Specialist for Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, supporting The Johns Hopkins University in the review, management, and commercialization of innovations.
